I'm currently selling my dining room table, chairs and china cabinet.

The table and 8 chairs are Ashley Furniture in excellent condition. Model D212-32. The pub height table features a built-in butterfly leaf which is very easy to operate. it measures 54" by 54" with the leaf open and 54" by 36" with the leaf closed. Plus, I still have the assembly instructions.

Then there is the massive china cabinet. It stands a little more than 7' and it is 57" wide. The dark wood on the cabinet matches the table perfectly. It features a glass front and side on the case and mirrored back which makes for a great display. The case has built-in overhead lights which are operated by the touch sensitive hinge in the upper right corner. The lower part of the cabinet has six drawers and two doors with elegant hardware.

Snow = White

Overnight, we had our first snow at our new house. Here are some pics!

Now it's a room for living!

We didn't hate our living room when we bought our house ... but we began to hate it very soon after.  Popcorn ceiling, '80s track lighting, dog-stained carpet -- what wasn't hate-able about it?

So, though our priorities should have been in other areas (*cough,* kitchen wallpaper, *cough*), we bit the bullet and paid for a living room renovation.  Robin had seen a coffered ceiling in a magazine and we both knew extending the hardwood flooring would help glam the 

room.  More modern colors would help the walls perk up, while recessed lighting would actually, um, light the room as opposed to the bookcase.

So ... here is the "before" and "after" of the Chez Rothberg living room.  (You can only see six coffers in the picture, but there are nine, total, with recessed lighting in each of the four corners.)

Next step -- living room furniture!  (Oh, and painting that kitchen....)
